Established in 1993, Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB) is a dynamic organisation under the purview of the Ministry of Human Resources. Governed by the Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad Act 2001 (PSMB Act 2001), PSMB was given the mandate by the Malaysian Government to catalyse the development of competent local workforce that will contribute to the nation’s vision of becoming a high-income economy

Since its inception, PSMB has evolved from managing a sizeable fund to becoming a one-stop-centre for providing novel human capital development solutions to the critical mass of Malaysian small medium enterprises.

Well positioned to offer robust and prudent solutions, it aims to have Malaysia move up the Global Competitiveness Index by enhancing both regional and global competitiveness, propelling the country towards being a high income nation by Year 2020.

In line with the Eleventh Malaysia Plan (11MP), the Malaysian Government also initiated several programmes that focus on accelerating human capital development through four major areas. These include:

Improving the efficiency of the labour market to accelerate economic growth;

Transforming technical & vocational education to meet industry demand;

Strengthening lifelong learning for skills enhancement; and

Improving the quality of education system for better student outcomes & institutional excellence.

The HRDF Conference & Exhibition is Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB) also known as the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF)’s annual flagship event. It brings together a community of HR as well as Learning & Development practitioners and decision makers who are developing and executing strategies for achieving their respective organisation’s goals and aspirations.

In conjunction with HRDF’s 25th year anniversary, the organisation is determined to present an outstanding conference that will be appreciated for its exceptional speakers and critical content. It is consistently the largest HR Conference in Southeast Asia. Naturally, it attracts the region’s leading professionals and the 2018 edition promises to be better than before.

This year’s conference showcases game changers who are shaping the industry; legends who are defining best practices; and practitioners who are enthusiastically learning and growing with us.

The conference structure will feature a Keynote Address, Plenary, Concurrent and Panel Sessions with a star-studded array of speakers comprising global and local HR industry experts, management gurus and global business leaders.

Cisco Systems GmbH
SPEAKER BIO :

Tom is part of Cisco System as a consultant in Leadership & Team Digitalisation; designing and incubating solutions by leveraging on the opportunities of digitising HR. Some of his current areas of focus are: dynamic teams, talent marketplaces, agile collaboration, blockchain applications. He has a professional track-record in strategic HR consulting and a wide range of traditional HR functions including recruiting, compensation and benefits, and leadership development.

KOKO NAKAHARA

Instructional Design, Inc.
Speaker Bio :

Koko Nakahara is the President of Instructional Design Inc, a Performance Consulting and Talent Development consulting firm in Japan. Her experience include developing training and performance management solutions for leading Japanese and foreign companies, including Citibank and Microsoft. She is committed to advancing the field of instructional design field to meet the needs of Japanese companies in developing and managing their human resources and human capital.

Koko has a Bachelor’s degree in education, majoring in Art History from IWATE University, Japan. She also studied educational planning systems and intercultural communication at Cornell University. She is a certified member of the Designing Instruction for Web-Based Training Certification Programme from Darryl L. Sink & Associates. She has completed ATD’s ROI and HPI certification courses.

KEN PHILLIPS

Phillips Associates
Speaker Bio :

Ken Phillips is the founder and CEO of Phillips Associates and the creator and chief architect of the Predictive Learning Analytics™ (PLA) learning evaluation methodology.  He has over 30 years of experience in designing learning instruments and assessments, and has authored more than a dozen published learning instruments.

Since 2008, he has spoken at various ATD annual International Conference on topics related to the measurement and evaluation of learning.

Prior to pursuing his Ph.D. in the combined fields of organisational behaviour and educational administration at Northwestern University, Ken held management positions with two colleges and two national corporations. In addition, he has written articles that have appeared in ATD TD Magazine and is a contributing author to 5 books in the L&D field.

Ken earned his Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credentials from ATD in 2006 as a pilot pioneer and was later re-certified in 2009, 2012, 2015 and again in 2018.

MONIR AZZOUZI

Maxis Berhad
Speaker Bio :

Monir Azzouzi is the current Head of Employee Experience at Maxis Berhad. He has extensive experience in digital and culture transformation as well as organisational development. Before venturing into HR, he developed his entrepreneurial spirit by starting up departments and companies in and outside the digital world. He has held senior leadership roles in Europe and Asia.

Monir has a deep knowledge in developing frameworks to drive digital transformation through employee experience, mindset change, leadership and culture.

He applies his extensive knowledge from HR, business development as well as sales and marketing to drive the digital agenda for companies he works for. At Maxis, he has been involved in performance management, organisational development and now, employee experience. He played a leading role in transforming Maxis’ HR department from being a conventional unit to one that adds real value to the business by focusing on digitalisation, employee experience, leadership and preparing people and the organisation for the digital age.

JONATHAN HALLS

Trainer Mojo LLC
Speaker Bio :

Jonathan Halls is an author and a leading expert in learning and development (L&D), training and media. With more than 25 years’ experience as a trainer, coach, consultant and speaker, in more than 25 countries, he has worked all aspects of the training sphere.

His experiences include heading BBC’s TV, Radio and New Media training in London, reviewing the Association for Talent Development (ATD)’s BEST Awards, sitting on the education planning committee for ATD’s international conference and expo, and he was also the founding President of the UK Global Network in 2002.

Based in the Washington DC area, Jonathan is today the CEO of Trainer Mojo LLC, which provides professional development programmes and media workshops for trainers.  He is also an adjunct Professor at George Washington University.

Dr. A.J MINAI (Ph.D)

Speaker Bio :

Dr. Minai has over 10 years of experience as a business development leader across different industries and verticals and has been engaged by the likes of Google, AirAsia, Astro, Schneider, UEM, and MarcusEvans among others.

Today, his passion is to empower professionals and brands with what he calls the “MilennialxDigital” equation to leadership, management, and brand engagement, focusing on Digital DNA, Gen Y&Z Employability Skills, Intergenerational Productivity & Motivation, and Brand humanisation.

He is also a co-founder and investor to four businesses that address the need for people and organisations to be more practical when it comes to deriving value from emotional intelligence (E.Q), brand storytelling, & technology in a digital age.
