Tom is part of Cisco System as a consultant in Leadership & Team Digitalisation; designing and incubating solutions by leveraging on the opportunities of digitising HR. Some of his current areas of focus are: dynamic teams, talent marketplaces, agile collaboration, blockchain applications. He has a professional track-record in strategic HR consulting and a wide range of traditional HR functions including recruiting, compensation and benefits, and leadership development.
Koko Nakahara is the President of Instructional Design Inc, a Performance Consulting and Talent Development consulting firm in Japan. Her experience include developing training and performance management solutions for leading Japanese and foreign companies, including Citibank and Microsoft. She is committed to advancing the field of instructional design field to meet the needs of Japanese companies in developing and managing their human resources and human capital.
Koko has a Bachelor’s degree in education, majoring in Art History from IWATE University, Japan. She also studied educational planning systems and intercultural communication at Cornell University. She is a certified member of the Designing Instruction for Web-Based Training Certification Programme from Darryl L. Sink & Associates. She has completed ATD’s ROI and HPI certification courses.
Ken Phillips is the founder and CEO of Phillips Associates and the creator and chief architect of the Predictive Learning Analytics™ (PLA) learning evaluation methodology. He has over 30 years of experience in designing learning instruments and assessments, and has authored more than a dozen published learning instruments.
Since 2008, he has spoken at various ATD annual International Conference on topics related to the measurement and evaluation of learning.
Prior to pursuing his Ph.D. in the combined fields of organisational behaviour and educational administration at Northwestern University, Ken held management positions with two colleges and two national corporations. In addition, he has written articles that have appeared in ATD TD Magazine and is a contributing author to 5 books in the L&D field.
Ken earned his Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credentials from ATD in 2006 as a pilot pioneer and was later re-certified in 2009, 2012, 2015 and again in 2018.
Monir Azzouzi is the current Head of Employee Experience at Maxis Berhad. He has extensive experience in digital and culture transformation as well as organisational development. Before venturing into HR, he developed his entrepreneurial spirit by starting up departments and companies in and outside the digital world. He has held senior leadership roles in Europe and Asia.
Monir has a deep knowledge in developing frameworks to drive digital transformation through employee experience, mindset change, leadership and culture.
He applies his extensive knowledge from HR, business development as well as sales and marketing to drive the digital agenda for companies he works for. At Maxis, he has been involved in performance management, organisational development and now, employee experience. He played a leading role in transforming Maxis’ HR department from being a conventional unit to one that adds real value to the business by focusing on digitalisation, employee experience, leadership and preparing people and the organisation for the digital age.
Jonathan Halls is an author and a leading expert in learning and development (L&D), training and media. With more than 25 years’ experience as a trainer, coach, consultant and speaker, in more than 25 countries, he has worked all aspects of the training sphere.
His experiences include heading BBC’s TV, Radio and New Media training in London, reviewing the Association for Talent Development (ATD)’s BEST Awards, sitting on the education planning committee for ATD’s international conference and expo, and he was also the founding President of the UK Global Network in 2002.
Based in the Washington DC area, Jonathan is today the CEO of Trainer Mojo LLC, which provides professional development programmes and media workshops for trainers. He is also an adjunct Professor at George Washington University.
Dr. Minai has over 10 years of experience as a business development leader across different industries and verticals and has been engaged by the likes of Google, AirAsia, Astro, Schneider, UEM, and MarcusEvans among others.
Today, his passion is to empower professionals and brands with what he calls the “MilennialxDigital” equation to leadership, management, and brand engagement, focusing on Digital DNA, Gen Y&Z Employability Skills, Intergenerational Productivity & Motivation, and Brand humanisation.

John A. Davis is the Regional Managing Director for Duke CE Asia, a global provider of executive education and learning and development services.
He has worked with leadership teams across a wide range of sectors on creating sustainable value. His vast experience in business, academia, and applied research gives him a unique perspective on the influential factors in creating value and sustainable success.
Prior to joining Duke CE, John was a Dean and Professor of Marketing at SP Jain School of Global Management Dubai-Singapore-Sydney. He has taught at Emerson College, University of Oregon, Singapore Management University, and International Olympic Academy in Greece. He also has been awarded as the ‘Best Professor of Marketing’ by Asia’s Best B-School Awards, the BAC Teaching Award from University of Oregon and ‘The Most Inspiring Teacher’ from Singapore Management University.
For over 18 years, he has experience in leading national and global marketing organizations including Nike, Transamerica, and Informix.
John is also a best-selling author of 10 business and marketing books which has been translated into multiple languages, including his latest: Measuring Marketing. Ariffin started his career in Texas Instruments as an engineer in 1983 and progressed to work abroad in countries such as United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the Middle East and also North Africa. Under his belt is a myriad of experience in different industries such as manufacturing, electronics, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, aquaculture, as well as consultancy. David Burgess is actively engaged with multinational companies in implementing strategic transformation. These initiatives include global business services organisations across business partnering, operational process excellence, people and performance management.
In addition, David is also armed with 26 years of experience as an International Finance & Business Executive within Royal Dutch Shell and has been posted to countries such as Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. David was also previously the Vice President Shell Finance Operations, Malaysia.
Dona Siti Zawina or fondly known as Dona, began her career in Learning and Development with Malaysia Airlines as a trainer for 10 years in MAS Academy, where she was heavily involved in the safety and service sector. Since then, she took up the lead role in the Talent Development and Learning department of Media Prima Berhad, where she overlooked the development and nurturing of creativity and digital knowledge among employees. Dona is a strong believer in the importance of learning at one’s own pace and preference.
Sam Haggag, a Chemical Engineer by training, with over 20 years of experience in the HR services industry. His wealth of experience in the implementation of HR solutions and best practices were obtained from working with a wide range of local and multinational organisations especially in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Sam is a regular speaker on trends in the changing world of work including trends in talent attraction and retention, how to drive productivity of the workforce and re-skilling talent to meet the demands of rapidly changing work environment. Sam has advised government agencies on re-skilling workforces and establishing long term strategies to address skill shortages.
